These terms apply to everyone who uses www.thevillagenews.co.za. By using the site, you accept them.
- Our content. The stories, photographs, puzzles, adverts and design on this site belong to The Village News or to the writers, photographers and advertisers who gave them to us. You may read, print and share links to them for your own use. You may not copy, republish or sell them without our written permission.
- Sharing. You are welcome to share a link to any story, or a short quote with a link back to us.
- Adverts and links. Adverts, sponsored articles and links to other websites are not an endorsement by The Village News. Sponsored content is always labelled “Sponsored”. We are not responsible for other websites.
- What you send us. When you send us a classified, job, event, comment, letter or artwork, you confirm that it is true, that you have the right to use it, and that it breaks no law. You allow us to publish it in the paper and on the website. We may edit, shorten, decline or remove anything, at any time. Letters and comments are the writer’s own views, not ours.
- Advertising. Adverts, classifieds and jobs are also covered by our Advertising terms, shown on each booking form.
- Puzzles. Times are checked; we may hold or remove any time that looks unfair. Any prize is decided as announced at the time.
- Accuracy. We work hard to get things right. If we get something wrong, tell us at admin@thevillagenews.co.za and we will correct it. The site is provided as it is, and as far as the law allows, The Village News is not liable for any loss from using it.

- Law. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
- Changes. We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
