Following uncertainty over who Fick’s Pool was named after, research suggests that Josias Servaas Fick (1830-1919) carries the honour, after two candidates were previously thought to be the true candidates.

Last week’s letter of complaint about the U3A meeting notice regarding Dr Abedian’s lecture on Iran, K Enslin missed the quotation marks around “Great Satan” and “Little Satan”.
